– Turn on the TV
– Make a phone call
Step 4: pimp hair
Of course, what applies to the face also applies to the hair. Did you know that stress can also be seen in your hair? That’s why you should first free it from all old contamination, clean it thoroughly (e.g. with a scalp peeling) and then add a restorative care product. Finally, twist into a bun and secure with a claw clip…

Step 5: Bathtub
… and hop in the bathtub. Because the 15 minutes exposure time corresponds exactly to the time you should spend in the bathtub. Important: Make absolutely sure that the water is not too warm, otherwise it will damage the skin. Around 38 degrees is ideal for relaxing and for the skin cells. Lemon balm or lavender additives promote relaxation – on muscles and soul.
Step 6: Contrast shower
Bring the immune system, the skin and the soul into shape at the same time – Sebastian Kneipp knew how to do it with his hydrotherapy more than a hundred years ago. Namely with cold water! Yes, you have to go through this now! After the warm bath, pick up the shower and give your whole body a cold shower. Start with the legs from the bottom up in circular movements, then continue with the arms and finally the upper body, back and head. Sounds harsh, but when it’s over you feel like a new person.
Step 7: Take care of your body
After the contrast bath, the skin is well supplied with blood and can optimally absorb care. It is therefore best to apply body lotion immediately after taking a bath and massage in with your hands in circular motions. But you can also use small cupping capsules (e.g. from Legology), which also reach the subcutaneous tissue. This is as beneficial as a small professional massage. It is even more relaxing if the oil or lotion has an aromatic scent such as lemon.

Step 8: rest afterwards
After taking a bath and applying lotion, you should take it easy – and first relax on the couch, maybe with a meditation? Otherwise the circuit will be overstretched. Snuggle up in a bathrobe or lie down on the balcony in summer (fresh air is even better). And important: don’t think about anything! If you find this difficult, quickly go to Step 9.
Step 9: Eye Mask
In the millennia-old Ayurveda teachings there is a treatment in which warm ghee (Indian butter) is poured into the eyes. The patient should then keep his eyes closed for two hours and let them rest. Of course you shouldn’t put butter in your eyes now, but put on an eye mask (e.g. from Annemarie Börlind) or cucumber slices for a while. How long can you stand this?
Step 10: Pamper your hands and feet
Last but not least, a little time out at home is also perfect for caring for your hands and feet. Ready-to-use masks are particularly practical, in which gloves and socks are soaked in care products and you only have to slip them on. After a bath, however, it is also a wonderful way to remove calluses. Finally, you can apply a thick layer of hand or foot cream and slip into gloves or socks.
