Body Positivity: This is what our bodies look like
Stretch marks, tummy tucks and body hair are perfectly normal, yet many people still feel the need to hide them on their social media pictures or cover everything up through a filter. And who can blame them in such a negative, judgmental society?
That’s why we celebrate influencers who give us a look at their real Grant body – with armpit hair and all the trimmings. One such example is body positivity influencer @yours_sincerley_bekki, who uses her account to share her “unfiltered life and body with acne, body hair, grief, gardening, motherhood, DIY and fighting beauty norms” — and we are enthusiastic about it.
In a current post, she shows her body with everything that goes with it: stretch marks, belly rolls, hair in different places:

With the headline “Dear reader, the fluctuating weight, the skin folds, the wrinkles, the body hair and the stretch marks, all those beautiful parts of you are NORMAL”her post serves to normalize what most people’s bodies probably look like behind all the filters.
These were the reactions to the body positivity post
Her followers thanked Bekki in droves in the comments for this inspiring post. One:r wrote: “You have helped me to accept my body and other people’s bodies too. By simply showing things as they are. So easy but so difficult,” while another added, “Thanks for sharing this with me. I deal with insecurities after chemotherapy and it makes me feel like I’m not alone.”
Of course, Bekki also found that Instagram is just as full of idiots: Bekki, who describes herself as a “skin and body conscious advocate”, posted a photo of her hairy toes and received answers like “You only wash once the week the feet?” or “Shouldn’t you shave your toes?”.
